How to arrange a private car from your Tokyo hotel to Narita or Haneda: working out departure time, tax-included fares (Haneda ECO from on request Narita ECO from on request), tolls and parking included, and the late-night surcharge.
On the day you leave Japan, the leg most likely to go wrong is the last one: hotel to airport. Dragging luggage through train transfers, rush-hour traffic and no early-morning service can all turn it stressful. This guide explains how a private airport drop-off works, how to plan your departure time, and what it costs.
Working out your departure time
Plan backwards from your flight, not forwards from hotel checkout:
- Check your airline's check-in deadline. Rules differ by airline and terminal, so confirm on the airline's website. We do not quote figures here.
- Add time inside the airport. For bag drop, security and departure formalities, see the official airport sources: Narita Airport and Haneda Airport.
- Subtract the drive. From central Tokyo, about 30–45 minutes to Haneda and 60–90 minutes to Narita (rough estimates; actual time depends on traffic and your starting point).
- Keep a traffic buffer. Expressways can back up at rush hour and on holidays, so estimate conservatively.
Give us your flight number and departure time when booking, and our team will confirm the pickup time with you.
Cost
Narita and Haneda fares are the same to every part of Tokyo. Prices are one way, per vehicle, tax included, with tolls and parking included:
| Airport | Approx. drive | ECO (5 seats) | Alphard (7 seats) | Hiace (10 seats) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Haneda | 30–45 min | on request | ¥15,000 | ¥17,000 |
| Narita | 60–90 min | on request | ¥22,000 | ¥27,000 |
- Per vehicle: four people in a Haneda ECO pay about on request each; six in a Narita Alphard about ¥3,667 each.
- Late-night and early-morning surcharge: a flat ¥4,000 between 22:00 and 06:00, whatever the destination.
- Child seats available: child safety seats and booster seats can be provided.
- Extra stops: arranged on request, for example to collect another traveller on the way.
- 24-hour service: early flights can be covered.

What to have ready when booking
- Departure date, flight number and departure time.
- Pickup point: hotel name and address.
- Number of passengers, bags, and whether children are travelling.
- A contact number so the driver can confirm the pickup point.
Three common situations
Early flight. Pickup will often fall inside the 22:00–06:00 window, so budget for the ¥4,000 surcharge.
Lots of luggage or a large group. For ski gear, big suitcases or many souvenirs, choose by bag count and move up to an Alphard or Hiace if needed.
Travelling with children. State how many child seats or booster seats you need when booking.

FAQ
- How much is a ride from a Tokyo hotel to Narita or Haneda?
- One price applies across Tokyo, one way, per vehicle, tax included: Haneda ECO on request Alphard ¥15,000 Hiace ¥17,000; Narita ECO on request Alphard ¥22,000 Hiace ¥27,000. Tolls and parking are included. All quotes are subject to confirmation by our customer service team.
- Can you take me to the airport for an early-morning flight?
- Yes, service runs 24 hours a day. A flat ¥4,000 surcharge applies between 22:00 and 06:00, so a Haneda ECO ride becomes on request + ¥4,000 = on request (tax included, per vehicle).
- How early should I leave for the airport?
- Work backwards from your airline's published check-in deadline, then add the drive and a traffic buffer. Roughly 30–45 minutes to Haneda and 60–90 minutes to Narita, as rough estimates only. Airline rules differ, so rely on the airline and airport for official times.
- Can I get a child seat for my departure transfer?
- Yes. Child safety seats and booster seats are available; state the quantity when booking.
- How do I choose a vehicle if I have a lot of luggage?
- Choose by bag count: ECO seats 5 with 4 bags, Alphard seats 7 with 6 bags, Hiace seats 10 with 9 bags. Pricing is per vehicle, not per person.
