Tokyo's most important international gateway, serving the majority of long-haul international flights. From Narita, traverse Chiba's pastoral scenery straight to Tokyo's core business districts.
Narita International Airport (NRT) is one of Japan's busiest international airports, handling over 70% of international flight arrivals. Located in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, it sits roughly 60 km from central Tokyo. While the distance may seem considerable, Sakura Travel's experienced drivers choose optimal routes via the Higashi-Kanto Expressway and Metropolitan Expressway, reaching Shinjuku, Shibuya, and other city-center areas in approximately 60–75 minutes during off-peak hours. Along the way you will witness the gradual shift from Chiba's serene countryside to the vibrant metropolis — a journey many travelers consider the most authentically "Japan" arrival experience.
Narita Airport has 3 terminals; Terminal 3 mainly serves low-cost carriers. Your driver will meet you at the arrival hall of your flight's terminal; a name-sign pickup can be arranged. Free shuttle buses run between Terminals 1 and 2. Terminal 3 requires a 10–15 minute walk, so we recommend heading to Terminal 2's meeting point after landing to save time.
