Japan's international airport closest to its city center. Within 20 minutes of landing you can be savoring Hakata tonkotsu ramen beside Hakata Station. The perfect starting point for a Kyushu journey.
Fukuoka Airport (FUK) boasts the most convenient location of any international airport in Japan — only about 3 km from Hakata Station and roughly 5 km from the Tenjin shopping district, with a drive time of just 15–25 minutes. Located within Fukuoka city limits, the descent offers a unique perspective overlooking Hakata Bay and the cityscape. Despite having only one runway, Fukuoka is Japan's fourth-busiest airport. A free shuttle bus connects the domestic and international terminals (about 10 minutes). Upon arrival, you can quickly dive into Fukuoka's energetic rhythm — yatai street food, mentaiko, Hakata ramen, Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. The charm of Kyushu begins in Fukuoka. Our service covers all of northern Kyushu, including Dazaifu, Mojiko, Yufuin, Kumamoto, and Nagasaki.
Fukuoka Airport's international and domestic terminals are separate, connected by a free shuttle bus (about 10 minutes). The international arrival hall is compact, so customs clearance is usually quick — about 20–30 minutes. A name-sign pickup in the international arrival hall can be arranged. If visiting Dazaifu, we recommend avoiding Japanese exam season (January–March) and weekends, when crowds are larger.
