Lake Kawaguchiko in Yamanashi Prefecture is the most popular of the Fuji Five Lakes, with views of Mt. Fuji across the water, Oishi Park, the Kachi Kachi Ropeway and plenty of onsen ryokan. Getting there from the airport means changing to trains or highway buses, so on a long trip with lots of luggage a car straight to your lakeside inn is the least tiring option.
