When a private transfer fits best
- Your stay is in a residential lane. The driver navigates to your accommodation address, so there is no transfer with luggage through unfamiliar streets.
- You have a lot of luggage. ECO carries 4 pieces, Alphard 6 and Hiace 9, so nothing needs to be handled at stations.
- You travel in a group. Pricing is per vehicle, so the per-person cost falls as the group grows. Divide by your party size to estimate.
- You travel with children or older relatives. Child seats can be arranged, and there are fewer transfers and less walking.
- You arrive late at night. Service is 24 hours; check the operators for last-train times. A flat ¥4,000 applies from 22:00 to 06:00.
- You want to check in and rest right away. After a long flight, door-to-door is the least effort.
Haneda or Narita for Setagaya?
Haneda starts at ¥15,000 with a drive of about 30–45 minutes; Narita starts at ¥22,000 at about 60–90 minutes. Setagaya is in southwest Tokyo, so if you can choose, Haneda is usually quicker and cheaper. From Narita, a direct transfer saves you the changes along the way.
