Narita or Haneda Airport to Tsukiji: Private Transfer Price, Travel Time and Early-Morning Arrival Tips

· Updated

Private transfers from Narita and Haneda to Tsukiji are priced per vehicle: from on request (Haneda, ECO) and on request (Narita, ECO), tax included, same price across Tokyo. Travel times and early-morning arrival tips inside.

The Tsukiji area is a popular stop for food-focused itineraries, and it sits conveniently on the way to Ginza and the Tokyo Station area. From the airport you can take a train, a bus or a private transfer. This article covers private transfer prices and travel times, and how to plan an early-morning or luggage-heavy arrival.

Private Transfer Prices

Prices are per vehicle, regardless of the number of passengers. The price is the same across Tokyo, so Tsukiji uses the central Tokyo rate. One way, per vehicle, tax included:

Haneda on request ¥15,000 ¥17,000 About 30–45 min

  • Tolls and parking fees are included. No extra charges are added.

  • Child safety seats and booster seats are available.

Haneda or Narita for Tsukiji?

Haneda starts at ¥15,000 against on request at Narita, and the drive is shorter too. If you can choose your flight, Haneda usually saves time and money. If your flight only serves Narita, a private car takes you straight to your accommodation without transfers or carrying luggage between trains.

Private Car, Train or Bus?

Routes, fares and timetables should be checked with each operator:

These links have not been individually verified; please refer to each operator's current website.

A private car is usually easier when:

  1. You have a lot of luggage. Choose by luggage capacity: ECO 4 pieces, Alphard 6, Hiace 9.
  2. You are travelling with 3 or more people. Prices are per vehicle, so the cost per person falls as the group grows. Work out the split for your party size and vehicle.
  3. You land early and want to start your day. Our service runs 24 hours, so you can go straight to your accommodation to drop your bags. Check the operators for last and first train times.
  4. Your accommodation is a walk from the station. The car can take you close to the door, saving a walk with luggage.
  5. You travel with children or older relatives. You can reserve a child seat and avoid transfers and carrying bags.

If you are travelling alone or as a pair with light luggage and stay next to a station, the train is also a reasonable choice.

Planning an Early-Morning Arrival

On early flights, your accommodation is often not yet open for check-in. We suggest:

  1. Before booking, ask your accommodation whether it can hold luggage early, and from what time.
  2. If you want to drop luggage first and then go elsewhere, just let us know in advance and we'll arrange it, up to 3 stops per booking. Please confirm the timing with our staff when booking.
  3. Travel between 22:00 and 06:00 carries a flat ¥4,000 surcharge, so include it in your budget.

Booking Tips

Streets around Tsukiji can be narrow. When booking:

  1. Give the full name and address of the drop-off point, ideally with the Japanese name, to help the driver navigate.
  2. If your accommodation is down a narrow lane, tell us your preferred drop-off spot and our staff will confirm it with the driver.
  3. If you have a lot of luggage, enter the number of pieces when booking.
