LEGOLAND Japan from Chubu Airport: Family Arrival-Day Guide

Going to LEGOLAND Japan from Chubu Airport with kids? Opening at 10:00, no resort car park, hotel-guest unloading only, plus strollers, bags and child seats.

LEGOLAND Japan stands at Kinjo Pier in Nagoya Port and is built for younger children. If you are heading to LEGOLAND Japan from Chubu Airport with kids, the route is not the hard part. Three things are: whether the park is open when you arrive, where the suitcases and stroller go, and where the car can actually stop.

Check opening times, then your flight

The official LEGOLAND Japan site lists opening hours of 10:00–18:00. Hours and attraction availability change on some days, so check the official opening-hours and closed-attractions pages for your date. Seasonal events also affect crowds: in 2026 the Halloween event runs until 3 November and Christmas from 20 November to 25 December.

By flight time:

  • Early-morning landing: the park may not be open yet. Drop bags at your hotel first, or have breakfast at the airport and let the kids nap in the car.
  • Morning landing: go straight there and head to your hotel in the afternoon.
  • Afternoon landing: there is not much playtime left. Check in and be there at opening the next day.

LEGOLAND Japan from Chubu Airport: no resort car park, so agree the drop-off

According to the official access page, the resort has no car park of its own. The nearest is the city-run Kinjo Futo multi-level car park, connected to the resort on the third floor and subject to a height limit. The roundabout in front of the hotel is for LEGOLAND hotel guests unloading luggage.

So:

  • Staying at the LEGOLAND hotel: unload at the hotel and head into the park.
  • Staying in central Nagoya: drop your bags at your city hotel first, or tell us where you would like to be dropped.

Tell us whether you are staying at the LEGOLAND hotel when booking, and our team will confirm the drop-off point.

Strollers, luggage and child seats

A family of four with a stroller and two or three suitcases usually fits in the Alphard (7 seats). Two families together or extra luggage? Choose the Hiace (10 seats). Pricing is per vehicle, the same for any group within the seat count. Child seats and booster cushions are available; just note the children's ages (see child seat rules in Japan).
