Japan has many airport transfer providers, and every quote looks like a single number. Behind that number, the pricing method can be completely different, and comparing on price alone often means discovering extra charges after you land. This guide lists 8 questions to ask any provider before booking, including us.
1. Per vehicle or per person?
This affects the total more than anything else. Per-person quotes look cheap for one or two travellers but multiply as the group grows; per-vehicle pricing gets cheaper per head as more people share the car. We price per vehicle: the fare depends on the vehicle type and destination, not on how many passengers ride.
2. Is the price tax-included?
Check whether the quote includes tax. Our standard Narita and Haneda routes are tax-included. For example, one-way to central Tokyo in the ECO 5-seat sedan is on request from Narita and on request from Haneda. For other airports, prices are reference "from" prices only and are confirmed by customer service.
3. Are tolls and parking included?
Most airport-to-city drives use expressways, and tolls add up. Ask whether tolls and airport parking are covered. Our fares include tolls and parking.
4. Does the price change by destination?
Some providers price by zone. Our fares are the same across all of Tokyo Metropolis: the price from Narita or Haneda to any central Tokyo district is identical. Note that Tokyo Disney Resort is in Chiba Prefecture, outside Tokyo Metropolis, so this rule does not apply. See Narita to central Tokyo and Haneda to central Tokyo.
5. How long will the driver wait?
Flight delays, immigration queues and baggage reclaim all take time. Ask whether the driver tracks your flight, how long waiting is free, and how overtime is charged. Our airport pickups include 90 minutes of free waiting.
6. Are late-night and early-morning rides surcharged?
Late arrivals are common, and when trains and buses have stopped, a private car is often the only practical option. Check that the service runs around the clock and what the surcharge is. We operate 24 hours, with a ¥4,000 surcharge from 22:00 to 06:00.
7. Will your group and luggage fit?
Give the real passenger and luggage count when booking, and check it against the vehicle limits:

- An unusually low price usually means one item is missing. Ask about each one.
- Keep quotes in writing, and have a real person confirm the final amount.
