Heading to Haneda or Narita from Kamakura or Enoshima? Work back from your flight to set the departure time. Private car prices: Haneda ECO on request Narita ECO on request per car, tax included, tolls included.
After Kamakura and Enoshima, the next stop is the airport. This is not a leg to leave to guesswork: the train usually means heading back to central Tokyo or Yokohama first and then changing to an airport line, which is hard work with large suitcases. This guide explains how to work out your departure time from your flight and lists private car prices from Kamakura and Enoshima to both airports.
Work back from your flight
- Check your airline's check-in deadline. It varies by airline and terminal; rely on the airline's website. We do not list specific figures here.
- Add time inside the airport. For baggage drop, security and immigration, see the official airport information: Narita Airport, Haneda Airport.
- Subtract the drive. From Kamakura, roughly 60–90 minutes to Haneda and 120–150 minutes to Narita (rough off-peak estimates; actual time depends on traffic and holidays).
- Leave a traffic buffer. The Shonan coast area is prone to congestion on weekends and holidays, so be conservative.
Give us your flight number and departure time when booking and our team will confirm the pickup time with you.
By train
From Kamakura, you generally take a JR line into Yokohama or central Tokyo, then change to an airport train or bus. Timetables and fares change by season, so we do not list figures here; please check the official sites:
- JR East: https://www.jreast.co.jp/e/
- Enoshima Electric Railway (Enoden): https://www.enoden.co.jp/english/
- Kamakura City Tourist Association: https://www.trip-kamakura.com/
If you are staying along the Enoden line you must also get to the station and change once more. With large suitcases, a stroller or elderly travellers, a private car direct from your hotel saves the carrying and transfers.
