When comparing airport transfer quotes, many travellers wonder whether the price changes if their hotel is in Shinjuku rather than Asakusa. At Sakura Travel, the answer is no: we apply one price within Tokyo from Narita and Haneda. This guide explains what is covered, the exceptions, and how to estimate your budget.
What the flat rate covers
- Covered: Narita or Haneda to anywhere within Tokyo Metropolis, such as Shinjuku, Asakusa, Ueno and Tokyo Station.
- Not covered: Destinations outside Tokyo Metropolis, which have their own prices. Tokyo Disney Resort is in Chiba Prefecture and Yokohama is in Kanagawa Prefecture, so neither is part of the flat rate.
- Tolls and parking included: Nothing is added afterwards.
- Per-vehicle pricing: The price is for one vehicle, one way, regardless of the number of passengers, as long as you stay within the seat and luggage limits.

What the flat rate means for your budget
- You do not have to trade off locations to save on transfers. Whether you stay in Shinjuku or Asakusa, the transfer costs the same, so you can compare hotels on their own merits.
- Multi-hotel itineraries are easier to predict. As long as each stay is within Tokyo Metropolis, the airport fare is the same.
- The per-person cost falls as the group grows. For a party of four in an ECO from Haneda at on request that is about on request each; from Narita at on request about on request each.
Other charges to know about
- Late night: A flat ¥4,000 applies between 22:00 and 06:00. For example, a Haneda ECO ride in that window is on request + ¥4,000 = on request.
- Extra stops: want to shop or eat on the way? Let us know in advance and we'll arrange it.
- Included at no charge: Airport pickups include 90 minutes of free waiting, and service runs 24 hours a day.
- Child seats available: child safety seats and booster seats can be provided.

- What does "same price across Tokyo" cover?
- It covers transfers from Narita or Haneda to anywhere within Tokyo Metropolis. Shinjuku, Asakusa, Ueno and Tokyo Station, for example, cost the same, so your hotel's ward does not change the fare. Tokyo Disney Resort is in Chiba Prefecture and is not covered.
- What is the Tokyo flat rate?
- One-way, per vehicle, tax included: Haneda ECO on request Alphard ¥15,000 Hiace ¥17,000; Narita ECO on request Alphard ¥22,000 Hiace ¥27,000. All quotes are subject to confirmation by our customer service team.
- Is Yokohama included in the Tokyo flat rate?
- No. Yokohama is in Kanagawa Prefecture and has its own price: Haneda ECO on request Narita ECO on request (tax included, per vehicle).
- Are tolls and parking included?
- Yes. Tolls and parking are included and are not added after the trip.
- Is there a surcharge for late-night arrivals?
- Service between 22:00 and 06:00 carries a flat ¥4,000 surcharge, regardless of which part of Tokyo you are going to.
