A worked budget for private transfers in Tokyo using our actual rates: Haneda from ¥15,000, Narita from ¥22,000, tax included, plus a one-day Tokyo charter from on request. Three scenarios with per-person splits.
A common way to plan a transfer budget is to price the airport legs and the in-city days separately. This article uses our actual rate table to work through three typical combinations: arrival pickup, departure drop-off, and one day of private charter in Tokyo. All amounts are per vehicle, not per person.
Rates used
Central Tokyo, one way, per vehicle, tax included. The price is the same across Tokyo's wards:
| Airport | ECO (5 seats / 4 bags) | Alphard (7 / 6) | Hiace (10 / 9) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Haneda | on request | ¥15,000 | ¥17,000 |
| Narita | on request | ¥22,000 | ¥27,000 |
One-day Tokyo charter (starting and ending in Tokyo, 10 hours, tax included): ECO on request Alphard ¥45,000 Hiace ¥50,000. Overtime is ¥3,000 per 30 minutes.
Always applicable: tolls and parking are included; a flat ¥4,000 applies to each ride between 22:00 and 06:00. Child seats and a name-sign meet-and-greet can also be arranged.
Three scenarios
These assume the departure is priced the same as the arrival (our table lists Haneda and central Tokyo as the same price in both directions; please confirm when booking). All figures include tax.
| Scenario | Arrival | Departure | Day charter | Total | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 travellers, Haneda, ECO | on request | on request | on request | on request | on request |
| Family of 5, Narita, Alphard | ¥22,000 | ¥22,000 | ¥45,000 | ¥89,000 | ¥17,800 |
| 8 travellers, Haneda, Hiace | ¥17,000 | ¥17,000 | ¥50,000 | ¥84,000 | about ¥10,500 |
Per-person figures are simple division, for reference only.
Reading the table
- The airport drives the transfer cost. For the same ECO car, Narita costs on request more than Haneda. If your flights are flexible, factor that in; see Narita to Tokyo and Haneda to Tokyo.
- Larger groups get better value. Because pricing is per vehicle, 8 people sharing a Hiace pay far less each than 2 people in an ECO.
- The day charter is usually the largest line. To cut costs, use trains inside the city and keep the private car for airport legs. With heavy luggage, young children or older relatives, a charter can save a lot of changes.
Items to leave room for
- Late-night flights: ¥4,000 per ride. Late arrival and late departure together add ¥8,000.
- Extra stops: arranged on request, up to 3 stops per booking.
- Charter overtime: ¥3,000 per 30 minutes.
Not covered by this table
The flat price applies within Tokyo. Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone and other areas are priced separately. For Tokyo Disney Resort and Kawaguchiko, Narita fares are tax included, while Haneda fares are reference "from" prices only; please contact support to confirm.
