Yokohama and Kamakura are both in Kanagawa, but our private transfer fares differ sharply: from Haneda, Yokohama ECO on request and Kamakura ECO on request (tax included). Fares, drive times and how to choose.
Yokohama and Kamakura are both in Kanagawa Prefecture and both popular places to stay after landing at Narita or Haneda. Neither is within Tokyo, so each has its own private transfer fare, and the gap is wide: from Haneda, Kamakura costs on request more per vehicle than Yokohama (ECO). This guide sets out the fares, drive times and the factors to weigh before you book.

Beyond Price: How to Choose
These are angles to consider, not a ranking:
- Where your plans are centred: Yokohama is built around Minato Mirai 21, the Red Brick Warehouse and Chinatown, with hotels clustered nearby, and suits a stay, a meeting or a cruise departure. Kamakura offers the Great Buddha and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, and Enoshima sits on the Shonan coast, for an unhurried mix of old capital and seaside.
- Time on the ground: the drive from Haneda to Yokohama is short, so you can drop your bags quickly. With a late arrival or a single night, the time saved can go to your itinerary.
- Luggage and changes: reaching Kamakura by train from the airport usually means changing lines, so a direct car to your accommodation is far easier with large suitcases.
- Budget and group size: with a larger group, per-vehicle pricing narrows the per-person gap, though Kamakura remains higher. If you only want a taste of Kamakura, you could stay in Yokohama and arrange a separate day trip.
- Access to your hotel: lanes around Kamakura and Enoshima can be narrow, so whether a vehicle can reach the door should be confirmed with the hotel and customer service.
