Narita Airport to Shisui Premium Outlets by Private Car

Shisui Premium Outlets is only about 10 minutes by car from Narita Airport, which makes it one of the few outlets you can visit and still make a flight. The catch is timing rather than distance: it opens at 10:00, so the best plan for Narita Airport to Shisui Premium Outlets is a morning visit on your departure day, then straight to the airport.

Why departure day beats arrival day

The outlet's official hours are 10:00 to 20:00. Many Narita flights land in the early morning, when shops are still shut and waiting around with suitcases is no fun.

If your flight home leaves in the afternoon or evening instead:

• Arrive at 10:00 when the doors open and shop for two to three hours.
• Leave purchases in the car or in a locker, then drive about 10 minutes back to Narita.
• Check out of your hotel and head directly there, so your luggage never has to return to the city.

The drive, according to the outlet

The official access page lists: Narita Airport (Shin-Kuko IC), Higashi-Kanto Expressway inbound for about 10 minutes, exit at Shisui IC (signed "Shisui / Yachimata 8-1"), then about 1 km on local roads. The page states these times are estimates.

The short distance means the variables are weekend and holiday entry queues and the line near the IC exit. When booking, tell us your flight time and how long you plan to shop; whether the driver can wait at the outlet is confirmed by customer service. Luggage and shopping bags: lockers and delivery

From the outlet's services page:

• Three locker areas: the lounge (inside the corridor beside the Information Center), beside Calvin Klein (zone 450) and beside United Arrows (zone 1500). Only the lounge lockers accept banknotes and transport IC cards; the other two take coins only, so get change first.
• Parcel delivery: accepted at Mama no Reform and the 7-Eleven in zone 1845, but not for chilled or international shipments. Carry gifts for family onto the plane or sort them out at the airport.
• Tax-refund counter: the page does not give its location; ask at the Information Center in front of the food court.

Shopping with a small child

The outlet lists coin-operated strollers (for ages 4 months to under 4 years, no reservations, sometimes all out) and two nursing rooms. If you need a child seat for the drive, let us know when booking; we can provide one.
