Haneda Terminal 3 handles most international flights, but some ANA flights use Terminal 2. Check your terminal, see the arrival steps, and book your pickup at the right one.
Haneda Airport has three terminals. The usual rule of thumb, international at Haneda Terminal 3 and domestic at Terminals 1 and 2, holds most of the time, with one common exception: some ANA international flights use Terminal 2. Give the wrong terminal when you book a pickup and your driver will be waiting at another building.
How the terminals are split
- Terminal 3: the international terminal, used by all airlines' international flights except ANA's own.
- Terminal 2: mainly ANA domestic flights, plus some ANA international flights.
- Terminal 1: domestic flights.
ANA states that its own international flights use Terminal 2 or Terminal 3 depending on the destination, while codeshare flights operated by other airlines use Terminal 3 (ANA Haneda terminal information). If you are flying ANA, check the terminal shown on the flight status page before departure and pass it on to our team.
Arriving at Haneda Terminal 3
According to Haneda Airport's arrival guide, international passengers at Terminal 3 go through quarantine, immigration, baggage claim, animal and plant quarantine and customs before reaching the arrival lobby. That is where you meet your driver, and the 90 minutes of free waiting is there to cover these steps. For the full meet-and-greet process, see our Japan airport pickup guide.
Moving between terminals
If you end up at the wrong terminal, there is a free inter-terminal shuttle bus, and the Tokyo Monorail and Keikyu Line have stations at each terminal; see the Haneda Airport website. Still, an extra transfer with luggage is never as easy as meeting at the right terminal in the first place, so putting the terminal in your booking saves that step.
From Haneda into Tokyo
Haneda is close to the city: about 30–45 minutes to central Tokyo, depending on traffic (our Haneda Airport to Tokyo guide compares train, bus and car). An Alphard from Haneda to central Tokyo is ¥15,000 and a Hiace ¥17,000, the same for every Tokyo ward. Many international flights arrive late at night or early in the morning; rides between 22:00 and 06:00 carry a ¥4,000 surcharge; see our Haneda late-night arrival transport guide.
Once your flight and terminal are confirmed, submit them on the booking page. For route details, see Haneda to Tokyo.
